Thai Tho

A Wimbledon Village institution, this great family friendly restaurant is a long-term local favourite, having been the historic dining spot for tonnes of tennis legends every Wimbledon from the Williams sisters to Andy Murray. The athlete-approved menu is packed with delicious flavours, from a fantastic Massaman lamb curry to gorgeous duck stir fries, and the warm, friendly service ensures an evening to remember. We definitely recommend trying the green curry and the papaya salad – two perennial popular favourites that are, in our opinion, the best in London.

2

The Black Lamb

The brainchild of the Gladwin Brothers, The Black Lamb is doing something super special – both with the dining experience and the ethos behind the restaurant. The menu is curated with a focus on regenerative dining and sustainability: all meat is sourced from sustainable farmers, and the wine list sourced exclusively from their vineyard in West Sussex. The menu, which focuses on local, seasonal ingredients ethically sourced from the land, sea, and hedgerows, serves up inventive dishes – including a stand-out Sussex venison haunch with carrot puree and roasted carrot. True to their sustainable ethos, the restaurant follow a no-waste policy, and they are always changing things up – no two evenings dining at the Black Lamb are guaranteed to be the same! Every time you go, there’ll always be a new dish to try.

3

Cent Anni

Most popular on the Cent Anni menu by far is the calf liver with crispy pancetta, wilted spinach and creamy mash – an out-of-this-world dish and always a hit with customers. If you’re visiting in July, it’s worth booking ahead: they get very full up during the tennis! If you are coming from the tennis, they’re great and flexible with time; if a match is drawing out longer than you’d expected and you think you might miss your booking, all you need to do is call ahead and they’ll hold your table for you.
