Guide to Fulham Pier
A stretch along the Thames has been transformed into a dining and entertainment destination…
Unless you’re a fan of Fulham FC or a local, chances are you’ve had little reason to head to this stretch of the Thames in Fulham. Walking up from Putney Bridge, past the rather lovely Ranelagh Gardens, you’ll find Craven Cottage, home to the football club, which has seen a massive redevelopment that means not only an enhanced experience for fans but also the creation of Fulham Pier, a destination in its own right with a food court, hotel, private members’ club and a restaurant from top chef Adam Byatt. It also opens up the Thames path so you can walk right along the riverfront between Putney Bridge and Hammersmith.
The views of the river are beautiful, and from the top floor terrace you can see right across London (accessible to club members and as part of match day hospitality). On the ground floor, there is the Riverside Market, which is home to 10 vendors including London Essence Cocktail Bar, Kiss the Hippo coffee, Fat Pickles Burger and the acclaimed Goila Butter Chicken.
From July 15, Brasserie Constance will be open on the first floor, with Adam Byatt, of Michelin-starred Trinity in Clapham, launching Brasserie Constance. On the menu, there will be the likes of Brill in Coronation butter, all sorts of shellfish dishes and a rather special omelette selection. An adjacent bar, Flo, will be a perfect spot for sundowners and snacks. The restaurant derives inspiration from its namesake, Constance Spry, regarded for her innovative approach to floristry and ceramic collaboration with Fulham Pottery.

Fulham Pier is also hosting a range of events including a Family Day every Sunday with the likes of face painting, magicians and storytelling. You can watch Wimbledon on big screens, then the Women’s Euros in July, as well as check out regular comedy at the Orange Box venue.
The development includes Fulham Pier Hotel, which has a range of rooms and suites – and hotel guests can access Lighthouse Social, the destination’s private members’ club. There will be a rooftop infinity pool launching this winter – the heated pool will be open all year and will have some of the best views from a sunlounger in London! A spa will open in 2026.
Speaking of the private club, Lighthouse Social offers access to a variety of spaces including the The River Bar & Lounge, a restaurant, roof terraces, shared workspace, screening room and crèche. Memberships cost £1,200 per year (joining fee £200), and £780 for under 30s (joining fee £150).
On match days, Fulham FC fans with ‘Sky Deck’ access can wander between all the bars and the roof-top terraces, with food and drink pop-ups and seats with great views of the match. We were invited along to the grand opening and it is a fantastic experience. The spaces are beautifully designed and the views of the river on one side and the London skyline on the other are dreamy.
To get to Fulham Pier, the closest station, Putney Bridge, is approximately a 10 to 20 minute walk, Hammersmith station is around a 35 minute walk. Putney train station is the nearest overground station at 1.2 miles’ away.
